Youth Arrested for Molesting Minor Girl on Her Way to College
The Tehsil police have arrested Jeetendra Rajesh Sahu (21), a resident of Vanadevi Nagar, for molesting a 17-year-old 12th-grade student in broad daylight. The victim, who had been silently enduring the harassment for several days, finally reported the incident to her family after the accused followed her to college and misbehaved with her near the Tehsil police station.
Jeetendra Rajesh Sahu had been tailing the minor girl on her way to college for an extended period, creating a sense of fear that had kept her from confiding in anyone. The incident escalated when the accused intercepted the girl near the Tehsil police station while she was walking home with a friend.
The victim promptly shared the traumatic experience with her family, who wasted no time in reporting the incident to the Tehsil police station. Subsequently, Jeetendra Rajesh Sahu was arrested and is now facing charges of molestation, as well as being booked under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The authorities are conducting a thorough investigation into the matter.
