Youth Arrested in Hingna, Nagpur for Exploiting and Threatening Minor Victim

Hingna Police apprehended a 22-year-old individual, Kartik Krupavant Nagpure, on charges of sexually assaulting a minor girl and taking explicit photos of her. These photos were subsequently exploited to coerce the victim between January 14, 2022, and October 8, 2023, as disclosed by law enforcement on Friday.

Nagpure, a resident of Hingna, allegedly established a connection with the 17-year-old victim, enticing her into a relationship. Over the period spanning January 2022 to October 2023, he is reported to have subjected her to sexual exploitation in remote locations within Hingna Police's jurisdiction, all the while capturing indecent images of the young victim.

In due course, he began employing these compromising photographs to manipulate and threaten the victim. Eventually, the victim found the strength to confide in her parents about her harrowing experiences. Shocked and appalled by their child's ordeal, they filed a complaint with the Hingna Police Station.

Responding to the complaint, Hingna Police initiated legal proceedings, registering a case under Sections 376 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code, in conjunction with relevant sections of the POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act. They subsequently took Nagpure into custody, and the investigation is currently ongoing.
