Nagpur, India: A mock drill was carried out at Nagpur’s Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport on Wednesday, following a blast in Lahore. The drill was done to check how well the airport and its staff can respond in case of an emergency.
Security at the airport was put on high alert. Police, fire teams, and CISF (Central Industrial Security Force) took part in the exercise. The team practised how to handle situations like sudden attacks, evacuations, and quick response actions.
Officials said this drill was part of a nationwide plan by the Ministry of Home Affairs. Similar drills were held in many cities across India to improve safety after the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.
Airport services continued smoothly after the drill. Authorities said such mock drills help them stay ready to protect passengers and staff during real emergencies.
