Nagpur to Host Public Outreach by Nitin Gadkari: Citizens Invited to Voice Concerns

Nagpur, India: Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, will hold a public outreach session in Nagpur on Sunday, 11 May, to engage with local residents and listen to their concerns. The event is scheduled to take place from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Gadkari’s public relations office near Jupiter School, Khamla Chowk.

During the outreach, Gadkari will offer the public an opportunity to voice their issues. Citizens are encouraged to submit their concerns in writing to ensure a smooth and efficient process. Following this, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, the Minister will meet with BJP office-bearers and party workers at the same location.

This public engagement comes after Gadkari’s recent efforts to improve infrastructure in the region. He recently inaugurated a ₹326 crore road development project for the 47 km Nandur Shingote–Kolhar section of National Highway 160D. The road will provide better connectivity between the Nashik-Pune Highway (NH-60) and the Ahilyanagar-Shirdi corridor (NH-160), improving transportation for goods and traffic flow.

Further plans include expanding the Nandur Shingote–Kasare Road to four lanes ahead of the 2027 Nashik Kumbh Mela, aimed at accommodating heavy traffic. Additionally, Gadkari has initiated road projects worth ₹1,380 crore, including the ₹658 crore Nagar–Sablakhed–Ashti Chinchpur road improvement.

The public outreach provides an opportunity for citizens to discuss infrastructure, development projects, and other local issues directly with the Union Minister.
