Rooftop Solar Installation is being spearheaded by Nagpurkars

The "Roof Top Solar" initiative is receiving a resounding welcome from Nagpur residents. Within the Mahavitaran scheme, 24,357 consumers in Nagpur district alone have installed rooftop solar systems.

Thereby, producing power in an environmentally responsible way and beginning to save a significant amount of money on electricity bills, out of a total of 1.40 lakh solar roof tops across the state.

In the state, there are 1,408,808 rooftop solar systems with a combined installed capacity of 2,053 MW. There are 24,357 roof tops with a 251 MW installed power generation capacity in the Nagpur district alone. In the Nagpur district alone, there are 17.29% more solar roof tops than there are throughout the state.

Taking into account Nagpur circle, which has 2,653 roof top consumers in Wardha district, a total of 27,010 consumers in the circle have begun generating solar energy on their roofs, accounting for 19.18% of the state's total solar roof tops.
