Solar Explosion: DNA Testing Underway

Following the tragic incident at Solar Industries India Limited, where a massive explosion claimed nine lives, including six women, the recovery and identification process is in full swing. The site of the blast at the mining explosives manufacturing facility in Chakdoh, Bazargaon, Nagpur District, has been cordoned off, and excavators are diligently extracting the mortal remains of the victims.
The Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) is now at the centre of the sombre task of identifying individuals from approximately 40 mutilated body parts recovered from the blast site. These samples have been sent to the forensic lab for comprehensive DNA testing.
The blast, which occurred in the mixing, melting, and casting operation block of the plant, caused significant destruction, creating a hole in the ground and bringing down the building's ceiling slab. In response, officials are working tirelessly to recover remains and evidence.
