Two Young Men Fatally Struck in Nagpur Hit-and-Run Tragedies

In Nagpur, tragedy struck as two young men met untimely deaths in separate hit-and-run incidents within a mere hour.
The initial incident occurred when a Maruti Omni van, driven by Dharmendra alias Dhamma Ramesh Brahmne (27) of Mahal, overturned near Munje Chowk in the Sitabuldi area on Tuesday night. Dharmendra and his companion, Akshay Harishankar Barai (28), were en route from Munje Chowk to Sitabuldi when an unidentified speeding four-wheeler struck their vehicle from behind. Despite efforts to rush Dharmendra to Mayo Hospital, he tragically succumbed to his injuries en route. Sitabuldi Police, upon Akshay's statement, registered a case under relevant sections of the IPC and the Motor Vehicle Act to investigate the incident and locate the fleeing vehicle.
In a parallel incident, 23-year-old Noel Avinash Pandit, a resident of Ganga-Sona Apartment, Hudkeshwar, met a similar fate in the early hours of Wednesday. Noel was returning home on his Yamaha motorcycle when a reckless four-wheeler in the Hudkeshwar area struck him. Despite immediate medical attention, Noel was pronounced dead upon arrival at Government Medical College & Hospital. Following a complaint by the deceased's uncle, Sunil John Ramesh John (55), Hudkeshwar Police initiated an investigation, registering a case under applicable sections of the IPC and the MV Act.
