Nagpur to Face 12-Hour Water Shutdown on May 13 in East, North Zones

Nagpur, 12 May 2025: A major water shutdown has been announced in several localities of East and North Nagpur on Tuesday, 13 May. The water supply will be suspended for 12 hours—from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM—due to essential maintenance work by the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) and Orange City Water (OCW).
The shutdown is necessary for the replacement of a 700 mm valve on the Smart City Feeder pipeline near Dipti Signal and other key maintenance activities on the 1300 mm Kharbi main feeder pipeline. This work is part of ongoing efforts to ensure smoother and more reliable water distribution across the city.

Residents are advised to store enough water in advance and use it wisely during the shutdown period. Limited tanker services may be available, but delays are expected due to high demand.
