Auto-Rickshaw Crashes into ST Bus in Nagpur’s Sadar Area; No Injuries Reported

Nagpur, India: A speeding auto-rickshaw collided with a Maharashtra State Road Transport (ST) bus near the Sadar bus stop in Nagpur on Monday afternoon, sparking concern among commuters and local authorities.
According to eyewitnesses, the ST bus had halted to pick up passengers when the auto-rickshaw, travelling at high speed, failed to slow down and crashed into the rear of the bus. The impact left the front of the auto badly damaged, with its windshield shattered and wheel bent.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident. The auto driver escaped unhurt, and passengers on the bus were safe. However, the accident led to a brief disruption of traffic in the area, which is known for being busy and congested during peak hours.
The local police have confirmed that they are reviewing CCTV footage from nearby cameras to determine the cause of the crash and whether traffic rules were violated. So far, no official complaint has been filed.
The incident has once again highlighted the pressing need for stricter enforcement of speed limits and better traffic management, especially near crowded public transport stops. Authorities have urged all drivers to maintain caution and follow traffic regulations to avoid such accidents.
